Overview information is displayed under the video playback on the video page.
To edit the overview:
Go to a video page.
Click the More icon.
Click Edit overview.
What can I change when editing the overview?
The overview contains the following information fields.
Surgeons assigned to the video can edit any of these. Other users with editing permission can edit all fields, except the list of Surgeons.
Title. This is the name of the video displayed on Touch Surgery™.
Surgeons. Names of the surgeons who took part in the procedure.
Tags. Categorize the video to make it easier to search for. (See Tagging for details.)
Description. A text summary of the video.
Learning objectives. If using the video for educational purposes, use this field to add information on what your learners are expected to achieve.
Credits. Customize the video credits if you wish to display something other than the list of surgeons, (See above.)
Any additional free-text information, customizable by you.
How do I add a custom overview field?
On a video page, click More, then Edit overview.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
Click Add section.
Give your section a title, in the box “Enter title”.
Input free-text information for your section, in the box “Enter content”.
Click Save.
Some uses for a custom overview field include adding a References section for an educational video, or adding a Key Moments section to store the URL links to clips of important parts of the video.
How do I add other surgeons who took part in a procedure?
On a video page, click More, then Edit overview.
Under Surgeons, start typing a name to search through other members of the institution.
Click a name on the dropdown list.
Read and confirm the information popup.
You should now see the user’s name and profile icon added to the list of Surgeons.
Click Save.
Newly added surgeons can now see the video in their own “My Videos” space.
What happens when I add someone as a surgeon?
Use the Surgeons field to add other surgeons who worked on a procedure.
All users listed under Surgeons are assumed to have contributed to the procedure. The lead surgeon is assumed to be the primary contributor.
Each user listed under Surgeons has access to the video in their “My Videos” space. They have permissions to perform most actions on the video, including sharing it, editing the overview, editing the annotations, creating an assessment, or downloading it (if the option is enabled).
Only the lead surgeon can delete the video, or access the Analytics tab. (See also Insights and automatic annotations)
